Even Tom Wolfe Came Out For The Big Day
This was very clearly one of the most surreal moments of BX: The Opening. Amidst the crowd of traders, there appeared a man with a shock of white hair in a double breasted gray suit. And that man happened to be Tom Wolfe.
After the jump, cast your vote for what Wolfe was doing at the Blackstone opening.

Between his disheveled hair and rambling incoherence, he looked he was suffering early-onset Alzheimer's dementia.
Thus, I voted wandered in side door.
I hope his caregiver secures him soon.

John Thain has begun to pay demencia paitents to fill the floor of the NYSE to make it look busy. Vinnie's already wondering how he's going to pay for his stucco mansion in SI now that he's been replaced by computers and once relevant authors.

Is that a flat screen? If not, you're a bunch of pikers.

He was trying to bring back sweet memories and he wanted to get a last look at the Floor. Bless him. Bye bye Tom.

That stain is the remnant of a money shot intended for BSD's mom's face, but my aim was off a bit due to the fact I had to drink a bottle of Scotch so that I could stomach banging her.

who's bsd?

trotting out Tom Wolfe means CNBC clearly doesn't recognize that its primary "BSD" audience is under 30 and doesn't get the reference to an 80s author and the moment in time he quasi-represents .. I am however, thoroughly sick to death of the whole BX mania regardless. ENOUGH, he's rich, we get it!!
