Finally, Becky Quick Expecting?

The last time Becky Quick boarded the private plane of one of the legends of American wealth, rumors and speculation—or, well, completely made-up stories—flew across the interwebs that the CNBC anchor had married Boone Pickens in China. “Finally, wedding bells for Becky Quick?” CNBC reporter Jane Wells asked, tongue firmly planted in cheek.

This morning Quick climbed on board Warren Buffett’s plane, bound once more for the Middle Kingdom. And the rumors are flying right along with her. What has sparked the latest round of making stuff up about the globe trotting Squawk Boxer was a question from Squawk on the Street anchor Erin Burnett about Quick calling into the show rather than enjoying a glass of champagne on the private plane.

“Actually, it’s not champagne we’re drinking this morning. It was orange juice,” Quick said.

Which is what got the tongues wagging with speculation that Quick could be pregnant. “It looks as though the Quick clan was expecting another member,” one viewer wrote us. “When she passed on Berkshire's complimentary Mums champagne, it's as good as fact.”

Because everyone knows that the only reason a girl would turn down champagne in the morning is that she’s pregnant.

I can totally understand why Becky Quick would fly around the world with Warren B - what financial journalist/pundit/investor wouldn't take that opportunity? (OK, maybe Bess claims she wouldn't.) But what I can't understand is why someone like WB (rich and not exactly Mark Cuban-esque in his appetite for media coverage) would travel with CNBC? Personally, I don't think WB is in it for the action, though this is the only obvious answer. Maybe he really does love cultivating this billionaire man-of-the-people (hence, CNBC) image? The only other thought I could come up with is this: Foxy Business channel has just started, so obviously CNBC badly wants to keep its viewers in this pivotal period. Maybe WB hates Rupert and his conservative ways enough to pull this CNBC stunt to make Fox's launch more difficult.
Probably grasping at straws, but I just can't see any other reason for Warren to turn himself into a glorified airborne reality show.

Becky Quick is very talented and knows her Business lingo, Wow is she slick!
It is amazing how low key she remains, she can name her price! Based on the NJ tax records her X signed over the house to Becky for $1.00 I guess she is Available!!!!!!
