There's A Connection If You Want There To Be A Connection
Morgan Stanley is now saying that there will definitely be a recession and there's nothing you can do to stop it so you might as well just give up. We're all going to die eventually, it's just a matter of when. Related/unrelated? At MS's IED party last night, "There was a slideshow on a large screen that contained awkward photos of associates and analysts (most people were not smiling)...a lot of Sean Paul...a MD walking around with a blinged out Santa hat giving his business card to anyone that would compliment his style...and one very sad analyst talking to the bartender about how even the low hanging fruit he hoping to score with wouldn't give him the time of day."

why do these big companies force the drones to socialize with the chiefs? If i was a drone at ms, getting a day off or some more cash would be better than being forced to spend time with some jerkoffs who think they rule the world.

Just me,
Did you think it was about you?

If Ron Paul had been president, we wouldn't be in this mess right now.

The fundamental problem with Wall Street. I myself am an associate right now, but to jerk off and pierre, who the F do you think you are? You've been around a little longer than the younger guys, you've seen more ups and downs, you've got greater tenure and experience. But where does that give you the notion that you can act like a total prik to everyone else?
I noticed this a lot in college while going through rush and pledging a frat. The guys who always came in to haze and F with the pledges were always the most insecure, pathetic, worthless people in the frat.

A-Non -- But you still accepted their authority and did as you were told - perhaps you ARE the biggest loser of them all.

Just Me,
I followed it, because I know that there is a lot more to the world of corporate finance, as there was to the world of fraternities, than just a couple insecure toolbags.

Just me: surprised at you, cause A-Non is totally correct here. For the chance at a fat paycheck or lots of good partying, you can tolerate a few losers. It certainly doesn't mean you're a loser yourself. And if it becomes overwhelming, you move on.
