Leave No Stone Unturned, No Bear Stearns Employee's Mouth Untested

Page Six “just asks” today:

Which former stockbroker who was known for good looks and charm has let himself get fat and worse? A recent male date complained that the former hunk was also suffering from halitosis.

Normally we wouldn’t bother ourselves with the arduous task of trying to guess which good looking-become-fat financier among the millions of good looking-become-fat financiers they’re talking about, as the field is larger than the subject in question’s recently acquired T&A and, really, who gives a rat’s ass, but add oral malodor to the mix and you can color us intrigued. Curious. Desperate to know, ‘cept we don’t, which is where you people come in. We could be convinced that Larry Kudlow's exhalations cause people to fan out but the other descriptions don't fit. Our only plausible guesses are former girls about town Peter Bacanovic (Martha Stewart’s stockbroker and fellow defendant) and his assistant, Douglas Faneuil—dated photographs show both were, at least at one time, conventionally attractive. They’re also both unemployed and on most nights, probably can’t come up with too many reasons to *not* eat that fifth profiterole without brushing afterwards. Anyway, get on it.

it's Peter Bacanovic; he's nothing without Martha. Also, he dates men.

What's a "male date"? Is that a homosexual reference or just someone he had dinner with?

Does anyone know how I can gain access to a Halimeter? I have an experiment I want to try.

This is the most recent image of Bacanovic I could find:

sounds like a clue that the subject is gay, i.e. bacanovic or faneuil

@ 10:53- that's not Bacanovic. this is: http://vis-www.cs.umass.edu/lfw/images/Peter_Bacanovic/Peter_Bacanovic_0002.jpg

@10:57 10:53 was a joke. A good one, in fact. That's Larry Craig. Duh...

Bocanovich was at Merrill. And there's nothing to indicate a Halimeter would detect dope on the breath. So what's the Bear connection?

Posted by guest, Mar 03, 2008 11:09AM

spelling it out: the bear connection is that former bear stearns employees are the mostly likely to have bad breath, and also to let themselves go.

@11:09 Interesting. I'm a little removed from this stuff now, but maybe 10 yrs ago the Baer guys were the ones to beat. More aggressive, less preppy, more big swinging dick than the competition. How the mighty have fallen.

hmmm. generally one does not suffer from one's halitosis. one's entourage may suffer from one's halitosis though.

Posted by guest, Mar 03, 2008 11:44AM

@ 11:39...what's...your point?

Posted by guest, Mar 03, 2008 6:01PM

what he means is....if you carefully manage what you put in your mouth, your halitosis can be a wonderful creation, I think.

My favorite - Scotch, cigars, southeast asian cuisine, and eastern european snatch.

Actually, Bacanovic is now the CEO of Fred Leighton (and has been since before Christmas). So, he's obviously, not unemployed.

You can search recent photos of him on www.patrickmcmullan.com. Not fat.
