@11:39--If you are a U.S. citizen, your freedoms and protections have been undermined under the current administration (e.g. Hamdi v. Rumsfeld or the current disregard for FISA). I'm not saying the government would detain me without reason, but it seems pretty clear that it could. Then I'd be pressing my case from GITMO for the next seven years with no habeas corpus protection. Honestly, I don't want my phone tapped without due process protection. It seems the President could declare anyone an enemy combatant. You should probably read the Fifth Amendment before you use it to blow your nose. I don't see exceptions in there.

Yeah, I can see it now, "SocGen announces record earnings despite subprime losses due to rogue trading. In a press release, the company said that encouraging rogue trades was part of the company culture."

They are the poorest couple in the presidential race and they made the bulk of their money from his book sales. Don't fall victim to the confirmation bias.

Icahn has a point. I mean, imagine--we could have enormous budget deficits, outrageous pork-barrel spending, and rising inflation. Oh wait, that is happening and has been since 2001. Ask yourselves this: are you better off today than you were 8 years ago?

Actually, I think destroying the man's career through unproven accusations and then ultimately dropping charges was the right way to go. It's what Spitzer used to do.
